Fire burns unit at Sun Valley motel

SUN VALLEY — Firefighters extinguished a fire Sunday night inside one unit at a Sun Valley motel.

The blaze inside the Mt. View Motel at 8065 San Fernando Road was reported at 9:17 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

Firefighters kept the flames confined to one unit, Prange said.

The department dispatched 34 firefighters to the scene. They extinguished the fire in under 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
