Coronavirus: L.A. County surpasses 1 million vaccinations, reports 194 fewer patients as of Feb. 5

Los Angeles County has administered 1,031,401 vaccinations, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public health. The county also reported 194 fewer hospitalizations for a total of 4,796 people hospitalized with coronavirus infections. Of those hospitalized, 28% are in ICU, as of Friday, Feb. 5.

The county reported 4,761 new cases, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases to 1,138,764,as of Friday. The county reported 226 new fatalities linked to coronavirus, for a total 17,764 deaths since tracking began.

Data posted each day is preliminary and subject to change, officials emphasize. More information may become available as individual case investigations are completed.
