Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 128 fewer hospitalizations, 1,260 new cases and 120 new deaths as of Feb. 16

Los Angeles public health officials reported 128 fewer patients hospitalized in local hospitals, lowing the number of coronavirus-related hospitalizations to 2,964 as of Tuesday, Feb. 16. That’s a 63.4% decrease from the Jan. 7 high of 8,098 people hospitalized.

There were 1,260 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,169,550 as of Tuesday. Officials said there were 120 new fatalities linked to the coronavirus, for a total 19,215 deaths since tracking began.

A total of 1,546,999 vaccinations have been administered in the county as of Tuesday.
