Luke Bryan… country music superstar, American Idol judge, hard seltzer mogul… marriage counselor?
If you listen to a few Luke Bryan songs, you’d probably think that the key to a good marriage is to get in your truck, go down to the river in the with a cold six pack and dance in the headlights… maybe have a margarita or something, I don’t know, whatever Luke is singing about these days.
But, that’s not the case…
At a show a few years back in Jacksonville, Florida, a newly engaged couple caught the attention of Luke, who witnessed their mid-song proposal.
After he finished his song, he took the time to congratulate them, and then offer up a little friendly marital advice:
“Congratulations… I didn’t know what the hell y’all were doin’ up there but I think y’all got engaged so congratulations.”
You want my marital advice? Keep the fights clean and the sex dirty.”
Like his music or not, it’s hard to argue with that one…
