Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 756 new cases and 60 new deaths as of March 19

Los Angeles public health officials reported 756 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,213,288 as of Friday, March 19.

Officials said there were 60 new deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total 22,722 deaths since tracking began.

A total of 3,222,880 vaccinations have been administered in the county to date.

There were no new hospitalizations reported. The official count of hospitalizations remains at 861. That’s an 89.4% decrease from the Jan. 7 high of 8,098 people hospitalized.

Data posted each day is preliminary and subject to change, officials emphasize. More information may become available as individual case investigations are completed.
