If you’re looking for two of the most unique, unapologetic, “do it their own damn way,” straight-up talented artists in mainstream country music… look no further than Kip Moore and Ashley McBryde.
Kip has his badass combination of country and heartland rock, reminiscent of singers like John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen… only with a ton more grit.
And then there’s Ashley, who possesses this raw ability to tell a story through her powerful voice and phenomenal songwriting… she’s really as good as anyone in the business right now.
The two recently joined together for a performance of Kip’s song, “Janie Blu,” at the Ryman Auditorium, and they just about blew the roof off the place.
In a recent tweet, Kip talked about how much he enjoyed sharing the stage with her. And at the end of the day, it’s hard to find two people with more soulful voices in country music than these two right here. After this performance, I think there’s only one thing left for them to do: Record a damn song together.
I think that may be the collaboration we didn’t know we needed.
I’ve loved everything about @AshleyMcBryde since the first time we met years ago. We’ve always talked about doing something together and I had a blast finally getting to share the stage with her at the @theryman
