Coronavirus: How travel is expected to improve this summer

The travel industry was one of the business sectors impacted the most by the global pandemic. Today, we look at how business and pleasure travel is shaping up for the summer months.

How bad was 2020?

Prior to the pandemic, U.S. travel accounted for $1.1 trillion in economic impact and 6% of the workforce.

According to the U.S. Travel Association, U.S. travel was down by $492.3 billion in 2020 from the year before. Domestic travel was down $355.4 billion and leisure travel was down $247.7 billion.
