Jake Owen Singing “Sunday In the South” With Shenandoah Is Pure Joy

Music

Gotta love newer artists who still respect the legends.

And Jake Owen has always been one of those artists who respects the legends who came before him.

Take, for instance, this video of Jake singing “Sunday in the South” with Marty Raybon and Mike McGuire of Shenandoah.

Jake starts out discussing what this song means to him, but when he invites Marty and Mike onstage to sing with him, you can see the smile on his face, the joy in his eyes, and you can tell how much it means to him to be singing with these guys.

I mean, just look at how excited he is. An opportunity to sing with some of his heroes, artists who Jake says he’s looked up to since he was a kid.

Pure joy.

And while we’re talking about “Sunday in the South,” here’s Heath Sanders doing another badass cover of the Shenandoah hit.
