Fire burns acre of grass in Chatsworth

CHATSWORTH — Firefighters stopped the progress of a brush fire Monday night in Chatsworth that burned one acre of grass.

The fire near 10547 Boulder Ridge was reported at 8:34 p.m., according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, which was assisted in fighting the fire by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Firefighters were working around 9:45 to get handlines fully around the perimeter, Stewart said.

No injuries were reported.
