On This Date: George Strait Releases His 14th Studio Album ‘Easy Come, Easy Go’ In 1993

George Strait is The King of country music.

With an incredible 30 studio albums under his belt and 60 number one hits, it’s not hard to imagine how and why he earned that nickname.

And, on this date in 1993, he released his 14th studio album Easy Come, Easy Go. 

It produced four singles for George, including the title track that would eventually go #1 on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Songs chart, as well as his cover of George Jones’ 1965 hit “Love Bug”, and the songs “I’d Like to Have That One Back” and one of my personal favorites, “The Man in Love with You”.

The album itself peaked at #2 on the Billboard U.S. Top Country Albums chart.
