Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 1,436 new cases and 31 new deaths, Sept. 29

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 1,436 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,457,672 as of Wednesday, Sept. 29. The total number of cases represents 14.4% of Los Angeles County’s population.

Officials reported 31 new deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total of 26,078 deaths since tracking began. The total number of deaths represents 0.26% of Los Angeles County’s population.

There was one more hospitalization reported since Monday, bringing the offical count to 892.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 69% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated and more than 12,664,543 vaccine doses have been administered as of Sept. 29.
