Happy 63rd Birthday To The Living Legend, Alan Jackson

Music

35 number ones. Two Grammy awards. 16 CMA awards. 17 ACM awards.

Alan Jackson is a legend.

And today, that legend turns 63 years old.

You probably already know how much we here at Whiskey Riff love AJ – I mean, let’s take a quick look inside Whiskey Riff HQ.

From “Chattahoochee” to “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow” to “Drive” to “Gone Country” and so many more hits, Alan provided the soundtrack to my childhood and many others. But the incredible thing is he’s still pumping out great music, 31 years after the release of his debut album Here in the Real World.

Alan recently revealed that he was suffering from a degenerative nerve condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, one that’s starting to affect his mobility and balance on stage. But Alan’s not ready to hang it up just yet, and said he still wants to tour and perform as much as he can given his condition.

But when AJ does eventually decide to hang it up, he’s going to go out as one of the best to ever do it.

Happy birthday, Alan.

Here are some of my favorite Alan Jackson tunes:

“Drive (For Daddy Gene)”

“Remember When”

“Don’t Rock the Jukebox”

“Way Down In My Whiskey”

And of course… “Chattahoochee”
