Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 1,333 new cases and 25 new deaths, Oct. 29

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 1,333 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,490,698 as of Friday, Oct. 29. The total number of cases represents 15% of Los Angeles County’s population.

Officials reported 25 more deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total of 26,626 deaths since tracking began. The total number of deaths represents 0.26% of Los Angeles County’s population.

There were 11 fewer hospitalization reported since Thursday, bringing the total count of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 638.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 71% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated and more than 13,559,009 vaccine doses have been administered as of Oct. 29.
