Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 990 new cases and seven new deaths, Nov. 1

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 990 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,499,119 as of Saturday, Nov. 1. The total number of cases represents 15% of Los Angeles County’s population.

Officials reported seven more deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total of 26,644 deaths since tracking began. The total number of deaths represents 0.26% of Los Angeles County’s population.

There were 13 more hospitalization reported since Sunday, bringing the total count of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 672.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 71% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated and more than 13,671,177 vaccine doses have been administered as of Nov. 1.

Data posted each day is preliminary and subject to change, officials emphasize. More information may become available as individual case investigations are completed.
