OneLife LA – Forward In Hope: The Archdiocese of Los Angeles presents the annual event to celebrate the beauty and dignity of life. Rally, 11 a.m. at La Placita Olvera (845 N. Alameda St., Los Angeles), followed by a march, 12:30 p.m., to Los Angeles State Historic Park (1245 N. Spring St.). Holocaust Remembrance Vigil: Jewish Federation of the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys hold a 25-hour program, “Every Person Has a Name,” in advance of United Nations International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan. 27, 2022;  information on the United Nations remembrance  www.un.org/en/outreach-programme-holocaust/page/2022). The Jewish Federation’s vigil begins with a ceremony at 7 p.m. that remembers the more than 34,000 Jews who were rounded up by Nazi forces at Babi Yar, a ravine in Kyiv, Ukraine, and murdered. Following the ceremony, names of those killed at Babi Yar will be read at Pasadena City Hall (100 Garfield Ave.) through 8 p.m. Jan. 23.
