Eric Church was busy man last night.
He made a surprise appearance at Morgan Wallen’s concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, performing “Quittin’ Time” and “Smoke A Little Smoke,” and as it turns out, he actually cut his spring break vacation short to be there.
At one point, he told the crowd:
“I came a long way, we gotta do one more.”
Needless to say, it was a pretty cool moment, as Church has taken Wallen under his wing over the past year, and Wallen has admitted several times that the iconic country singer was one of his inspirations growing up.
With that being said, Bridgestone Arena wasn’t Church’s only stop in Nashville last night.
He also made his way down the street to the legendary Ryman Auditorium, and hopped on stage with the rock band Little Feat at the Mother Church of Country Music.
He picked up an acoustic guitar for a performance of “Dixie Chicken,” and needless to say, everybody in the crowd got treated to something special.
Written by Little Feat frontman and founder Lowell George, along with Fred Martin, “Dixie Chicken” is the title track from their 1973 album of the same name.
You never know who will show up in Nashville…
