Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 429 new cases and 17 more deaths, March 22

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 429 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 2,826,077 as of Tuesday, March 22.

Officials reported 17 more deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total of 31,508 deaths since tracking began.

There were  no new hospitalizations reported since Monday, keeping the total count of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 404.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 75% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
