Morgan Wallen continues to make history.

According to Billboard Morgan Wallen has become the first artist in country music history to have three songs debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart.

Since its inception in 1958, it’s never happened three times by one artist, in fact, it’s only happened twice by one artist… Taylor Swift. In total, only eleven songs have debuted at #1 on the Hot Country Chart ever.

It also debuted at #7 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Written Jessi Alexander, Mark Holman and Chase McGill with Morgan Wallen in mind, the song garnered 18.1 million U.S. streams in its opening week, while also selling 21,500 downloads.

Morgan said it immediately brought him to tears upon hearing it:

“Some of my friends sent me a song today, I was on the way back home from playing a little golf, and they wrote this song with me in on their mind and made me cry in the truck.”

It goes without saying, but it’s a pretty special song for Morgan.

“This is such a real and special song for me. Thank you to my friends Jessi Alexander Chase McGill and Mark Holman for writing this for me.

You guys told a story that so many of us have lived and continue to live. I hope this speaks to y’all like it speaks to me.”

The song is Wallen’s 4th career #1 single.
