Los Angeles Mission College celebrated the class of 2022 at its 47th annual commencement ceremony at 4 p.m. June 7 on the main quad at the Sylmar campus.
Happily, the graduates, about 750, were able to invite family and friends to the in-person event that was also live streamed on the community college’s website.
Speakers at the ceremony included Amanda Lizarraga, valedictorian; Mia Acosta, salutatorian, Arminda Ornela, PhD, the college’s interim president; and author-theologian-advocate Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodríguez, the keynote speaker.
