Throwback To Tyler Childers & His Wife, Senora May, Singing Willie Nelson’s “Sad Songs & Waltzes”

Music

If sitting on an old church pew, backstage at some venue (maybe), cold Miller Lite in hand, while singing Willie Nelson songs with your spouse ain’t a picture of true love, then I don’t know what is.

To be honest, there’s not much context here…

The video caption says “live at Epicenter,” but I don’t want to speculate as to where that could be. All I know is we have Tyler Childers, alongside his wife Senora May, performing some Willie Nelson and that’s good enough for me.

After their duet of “Sad Songs and Waltzes,” Tyler moves into a performance of “The Wonder and the Why,” an unreleased breakup tune frequently performed by Tyler.

You can scroll through Instagram all you want looking for the picture-perfect example of “relationship goals,” but hell, you’re looking at it right here.

And this was back in 2018.

These days, you won’t catch Tyler with a Miller Lite in his hand anymore, his hair is a little shorter and his jawline a little tighter, and the happy couple is expecting their first child this year.

Oh yeah, and Tyler Childers has Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum records, is Grammy nominated, and is selling out just about any venue he wants to step foot in.

Time flies when you’re kicking ass.
