Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 5,575 new cases and eight more deaths, June 22

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 5,575 new cases of the coronavirus since Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,076,849 as of Wednesday, June 22.

Officials reported  eight more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Tuesday for a total of 32,271 deaths since tracking began.

There were 15 more hospitalizations reported, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 679.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
