Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 6,129 new cases and eight more deaths, June 24

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 6,129 new cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,088,482 as of Friday, June 24.

Officials reported eight more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Thursday for a total of 32,291 deaths since tracking began.

There were 53 more hospitalizations reported, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 741.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
