Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 2,945 new cases and 1o more deaths, July 5

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 2,945 new cases of the coronavirus since Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,143,536 as of Tuesday, July 5.

Officials reported 10 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Monday for a total of 32,371 deaths since tracking began.

Hospital numbers are currently unavailable due to a delay in holiday weekend reporting from the state.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 76% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
