Morgan Wade Announces ‘Acoustic Sessions’ EP Coming This Week

Music

Morgan Wade is making my dreams come true.

I’m gonna quote myself here, because after she posted a little video of herself front porch pickin’, doing an acoustic version of her current single “Wilder Days,” I knew we needed “a totally acoustic album from Morgan, because that gritty, raspy voice is just too damn good.”

I mean, am I wrong? Ask and you shall receive…

And thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer, because she just announced her brand new Acoustic Sessions EP is dropping this Friday.

In a post on Instagram, she shared the news about the new EP, adding that some of the acoustic songs are tunes we already know and love, and some will be brand spankin’ new:

“I don’t want to give too much away just yet, but excited to let y’all know that I’m dropping an acoustic EP this Friday, August 12th.

Some of these songs you might know, some of them are brand-new… can’t wait for y’all to hear ‘em, pre-save/pre-add now! Link in bio.”

It’s about to be a GREAT New Music Friday:

Here’s just a sample of all the good stuff we have to look forward to and seem likely to make the final cut for this EP, all from her phenomenal 2021 debut studio album Reckless, starting with the aforementioned “Wilder Days”:

And a little “Run”:

Lastly, her incredible, stripped-back version of “Northern Air”:
