According to WHNT, Teddy Gentry, bass player and founding member of the country music group, Alabama, was arrested on Monday in Cherokee County, Alabama.
The 70 year old country music star was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Pretty hard to believe we’re still locking people up for a bag of weed these days, but Alabama is one of the states where it is still illegal to possess marijuana, unless it’s for medicinal purposes.
Sounds like Teddy needs to get the ol’ medical card, eh?
He was charged with a misdemeanor and released from jail after about 30 minutes.
