Tyler Childers Donates $20,000 To Kentucky Flood Relief

Music

Stay classy Mr. Childers

From what I can tell, Tyler Childers is good people.

He strikes me as a kind and compassionate, down to Earth dude from Kentucky who cares deeply about the people from his home state, especially those who have fallen on hard times… whatever that hard time may be.

And he just so happens to be one of the biggest acts in country music (and he’s got a brand new album coming out this month).

Do you remember that time back in 2019 when Tyler was photographed cleaning up after one of his shows at Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville, Kentucky, not too far from his home town.

Back-to-back-to-back, sold out shows on December 27th and 28th and then one final performance on New Year’s Eve. Three nights in front of 7,000 strong… and the man is sweeping the floor.

Incredible….

And do you remember the time he fought to get clean water to Eastern Kentucky, running a clean water drive while donating 500 cases himself for the Eastern Kentucky community of Martin County?

And now, in the wake of the devastating floods that swept across Kentucky, he, along with his wife Senora May, have been outted once more as a generous people.

According to Aspire Appalachia, he donated $20,000 to Kentucky flood relief:

“Apologies while we fan girl a moment, but Tyler Childers’ Hickman Holler Relief Fund sent a donation for flood relief efforts! Thank you for the support!”

And with a new Gospel record on the way, sounds like Tyler is doing a little more than just talking the talk… he’s walking it.
