I already know Lainey Wilson is going to bring it as a cast member on Yellowstone.

She’s one of the newest cast members of Season 5 of the hit Paramount series, and at the ACM Honors recently, she broke out an oldie called “Workin’ Overtime.” The song was originally featured on her 2018 self-titled EP.

Lainey will fittingly playing a musician named Abby on the show, and confirmed to press prior to this event that her character is actually very similar to the person she is in real life.

And seeing as she will get to sing her own songs during her upcoming role, it was only fitting that she perform “Workin’ Overtime,” which was the very first song she ever had featured on the show back during the Season 2 premiere, before she even had a record deal.

Lainey’s song “Small Town, Girl” was also featured in the Season 3 finale.

Yellowstone took home an award at the ACM Honors, the ACM TV/Film Award, which recognizes a TV show or movie that heavily features country music.

Of course, the hit series features some of the absolute best country music on the planet, so it was a very well-deserved honor, to say the least.

I’m always a sucker for a full-circle moment, and this is certainly a cool one for the Louisiana native as she gears up to grace TV’s across America when Yellowstone premieres on November 13th:

And Lainey recently announced her fourth studio album, Bell Bottom Country, which is slated to drop on October 28th.

She has released two great singles so far, “Watermelon Moonshine,” and “Heart Like A Truck.”
