As much as I absolutely love Zach Bryan’s debut studio album American Heartbreak, I’m really looking forward to the live album he promised will be recorded at his Red Rocks debut in November.
He’s currently out an extensive trek across the country, on what he previously said would “probably be the last” tour he goes on.
But that doesn’t mean he’s ready to slow down in terms of putting out more new music… quite the opposite, actually.
He already dropped the aforementioned 34 track album in May, his 9 song Summertime Blues EP in July, and a new single “Burn, Burn, Burn” last month, in addition to confirming that another record is coming in February featuring another unreleased one he’s been playing live lately called “Deep Satin.”
I don’t know when the man sleeps, but with him making his Red Rocks debut in what will surely be a very special show, the live album might just be one of the most intriguing projects on that whole list:
And at a recent stop in Detroit last night, he recorded a live version of a new unreleased song called “Starved.”
Lyrically, hits on a lot of the themes we often hear Zach singing about, like growing up and heartbreak, but hearing the raw recording and mumblings of the crowd in the background adds such a cool layer to the song.
If you’ve ever seen Zach live, then you know his concerts are almost a religious experience, and I really can’t wait to hear everything on that live Red Rocks record.
Make sure you check it out for just a taste of what’s to come, the live album is gonna be GOOD:
“How the kindest parts of my mind are you and me.”
That fiddle, though…
