Since this song’s release, it has been playing non-stop at my house.
The original of Clint Black‘s “Nothing’s New” is a classic, but this re-work with the addition of Cody Jinks and Ward Davis to the track is flat out addicting to listen to. It adds a new dynamic of a classic country voice with modern and raw voices like Davis and Jinks.
On October 1st, the trio took to Red Rocks to perform together.
And it was killer.
The video shows that the venue is absolutely packed as Jinks kicks off the tune to the roar of the crowd. After he finishes his verse, Davis comes in for the second verse, and the crowd screams once again.
Clint Black comes in to bring the tune home as the song’s originator, but more beyond their individual talents, the three of them have such great stage chemistry.
Keeping my fingers crossed that this re-release is not the only song we get from this trio.
