Two Chrises walk into a late night talk show . . . .

And what ensues is a pretty hilarious performance of the classic song from Dirty Dancing “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

On this episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live from 2017, Chris Pratt is the guest host and introduces Chris Stapleton with a quip about a man with a beard and cowboy hat finally making it in country music and talking about how they sang a duet a few months back at a Nashville concert.

With a claim that they had absolutely no prep or rehearsal before the show, Pratt introduces “The Wheel of Cheesy Duets,” which includes such classics as “A Whole New World” and “Don’t Known Much.” You know, a bunch of cheesy duet songs.

It, of course, lands on what I would consider the best option “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” and we get to see what is an amazingly chaotic duet that hopefully will leave you laughing as hard as I did.

Pratt starts off the song because duh. Nobody wants to have to follow Stapleton. You get your part of the song done and then sit back and enjoy that man’s insane voice.

When Stapleton’s voice makes its grand entrance, the crowd rightfully loses its mind, and I am right along with them. Each new song I hear him sing just further cements him as one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

These two really go all in on this duet, and at one one point, they end up holding hands which is pretty adorable if you ask me.

But the stand out moment is when Stapleton decides that he and Pratt need to do the lift from Dirty Dancing. Pratt seems mildly terrified and even mouths “what the fuck” as Stapleton runs off stage before sprinting headfirst at Pratt who seems totally unprepared.

I didn’t know I needed to hear Chris Stapleton yelling “I’m Jennifer Grey” at Chris Pratt, but I am so very glad I was able to experience it.

And with the magic of editing, we do get a . . . lift of some sort.

The video is just a great time, so you gotta check it out.
