The boy from Prosper, Texas, is dropping another one.
Back in August we got a taste of new music from rising star Tanner Usrey with “Take Me Home” and this Friday we’re about to get a little more.
Tanner took to Instagram to tell us a new single co-written with producer Beau Bedford (The Texas Gentlemen) and guitarist Tyler Wilkerson, titled “Pick Up Your Phone” will be released this Friday, along with giving us a look at the lyrics.
“Hope y’all don’t mind some new music this Friday… My next single ‘Pick Up Your Phone’ releases EVERYWHERE this Friday 11/11.
Grab your tissues for this one, it’s deep.”
A few lines that jumped out at me right away were…
“Tell me are you scared, cause I’m out here living free
And at night when you’re sleeping tell me are you dreaming of me”
And,
“I woke up on the floor again, sweating poison from my veins
And I don’t know what I’ve become, but I know it’s something that I hate”
Super pumped for this one, just need an album release date for these singles he’s dropping to fully get the anticipation peaked.
Tanner’s “The Light” was also featured in Yellowstone Season 4.
