Adele is a woman after my own heart.
She recently kicked off brand new residency in Las Vegas called Weekends With Adele this past weekend, and she had a very special guest watching the crowd… the one and only Mrs. Shania Twain.
The queen of pop country attended one of Adele’s shows at Caesars Palace, and of course, had a front row seat to it all…
But the thing is, Adele didn’t know Shania was there at that particular show, and at one point, was singing right in front of her and had no idea.
She shared a photo, where you can see Shania smiling and watching on, though she was somewhat hard to recognize as she had a hat on (and I’m sure was the last person Adele was looking for in the crowd).
And apparently, Adele is a BIG Shania girl (but who isn’t, really?), sharing the photo on her Instagram stories and saying if she would have seen Shania in that moment, she would’ve “self-combusted” with excitement, adding that she was in disbelief that Shania came to her show:
“Thank God you had a hat on @shaniatwain I would have self-combusted had I seen it was you!! I adore you, I can’t believe you came to my show.”
Shania responded to Adele’s story on her own Instagram stories, making a joke about how she’s glad the fans didn’t have to watch Adele self-combust halfway through her own headlining show:
“Thank goodness we didn’t make eye contact, all I can think of is the reaction of all those fans to Adele combusting halfway through the show.”
They’re both mega stars in their own right, so it’s cool to see the mutual respect and admiration they have for each other:
Shania added another story of herself at the show with a different from Adele’s view, saying she had a magical time in Sin City:
“POV you’re having a magical time at Adele’s Vegas show.”
Sounds like Adele’s team probably did her a solid by not telling her about Shania’s attendance…
Shania also had her own three-year Let’s Go! Las Vegas residency, which kicked off in 2019, recently come to an end, and she just announced that her sixth studio album Queen of Me is slated to drop on February 3rd, 2023.
She previously released two singles, “Waking Up Dreaming” and “Last Day of Summer,” in addition to announcing the Queen Of Me world tour for 2023, which will start in Spokane, Washington in April, and finish up in the UK in September.
Hailey Whitters, Breland, Lindsay Ell, Kelsea Ballerini, Mickey Guyton, Priscilla Block and Robyn Ottolini will rotate on different as openers.
But I mean, what the hell do we have to do to get a Adele/Shania duet of “Man! I Feel Like A Woman”?
Talk about self-combustion, that would about do it for me…
