Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is putting a bow on 2022 with a… lawsuit.
According to a new report from Rolling Stone, a woman named Julia Holcomb has filed a lawsuit against the rock n’ roll legend, alleging that he sexually assaulted her as a minor back in the mid-’70s.
She is also accusing him of sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The claims states that Holcomb was :
“Powerless to resist Tyler’s power, fame and substantial financial ability, and that Tyler coerced and persuaded Plaintiff into believing this was a romantic love affair.”
The claims alleges that the two met following an Aerosmith concert in Portland, Oregon, in 1973. Tyler, according to the suit, took Holcomb back to his hotel room, where the two engaged in “various acts of criminal sexual conduct.” Explicitly aware of her age, Tyler flew her to the next show in Seattle, where Tyler once again, allegedly “performed more sexual acts” on her following the show.
Tyler was then able to convince her mother to grant him guardianship over her when she was just 16 years old on the promise that he would financially support her, enroll her in school, and pay for any medical care however the complaint alleges that he instead “continued to travel with, assault and provide alcohol and drugs to the Plaintiff.”
When she became pregnant in 1975, she alleges that Tyler forced her to get an abortion. She was 17.
She adds that she decided to come out now after reading Tyler’s memoir which referenced the relationship numerous times as a “romantic, loving relationship.”
He also mentioned in his memoir that he “almost took a teen bride” and that “she was sixteen, she knew how to nasty, and there wasn’t a hair on it.”
Tyler has not yet responded to the allegations.
Holcomb has spoke on her relationship with Tyler in the past, including an appearance on Fox News with Tucker Carlson a couple years ago.
