Riley Green singing with a simple acoustic guitar is country at its finest.
He likes to cover country classics, and even some of his more modern country favorites, on Instagram from time to time, and today, he’s blessing us with a stripped-back rendition of Randy Houser’s hit “Like a Cowboy.”
A co-write by Randy with Brice Long, it was included as the fourth single from his third studio album How Country Feels in 2013.
The song cracked the Top 10 at country radio at the time, peaking at #9 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It has since been certified Gold by the RIAA.
Riley shared the acoustic video on Instagram, debuting a new segment he’s calling Cowboy Songs with my Cowboy Corgi Carl, who doesn’t have a care in the world playing with his toys on the poker table in the background.
