Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 3,602 more cases and 28 more deaths, Jan 5

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 3,602 more cases of the coronavirus since Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,644,850 as of Thursday, Jan. 5.

Officials reported 28 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Wednesday for a total of 34,783 deaths since tracking began.

There were 25 more patients since Wednesday, bringing the total number of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 1,287.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 21,292,185 doses administered.
