I like it.. I like it a lot.
Megan Moroney recently did a fantastic acoustic cover of Zach Bryan’s “The Good I’ll Do,” which was included on his massive 2022 debut studio album American Heartbreak.
The song was also featured on an episode of the hit series Yellowstone in November, and not only was a portion or short clip of it on the episode, the whole entire thing played at the closing of it, showing some great shots of the cowboy way of life and the beautiful state of Montana.
And because of that elusive “Yellowstone effect,” it shot to #1 on the iTunes all-genre songs chart within 24 hours.
Needless to say, it quickly became a fan-favorite (in large part because of that feature) and I love hearing it from a woman’s perspective with Megan’s awesome, gritty vocals.
She always sounds great on these simple, stripped-back renditions, and I’d love to get to hear her sing the whole thing in its entirety… it’s just so damn good.

Megan is a name you need to have on your radar in 2023, as she’s been working on her debut studio album after her first single to country radio “Tennessee Orange” first went viral on TikTok and quickly became a fan-favorite.
She released a great EP Pistol Made of Roses last year, and after signing a record deal with Sony not long ago, I’m really excited to hear what she has coming on her first full-length project.
Do yourself a favor and check out her acoustic cover “Tennessee Orange” while you’re here, too:
