Molly Tuttle & Billy Strings Grace The Stage Together To Perform “Blue Railroad Train”

Music

Two of the greatest in the bluegrass game at the moment. Out of all of the country music subgenres, Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings are shining a new light onto bluegrass, giving it new life to a younger generation.

Billy Strings threw quite the party during his stop in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to honor Doc Watson’s 100th birthday during his tour.

He brought out a handful of guests during that night, including 13-year-old Wyatt Ellis and more widely known Molly Tuttle.

Tuttle and Strings are no strangers to the bluegrass fan base, so the crowd was ecstatic to see her walk out onto the state.

Now, Strings and Tuttle have done many shows together and appeared on records together. Most recently, on Molly Tuttles Crooked Tree album for her track “Dooley’s Farm.” Highly recommend that track if you are a stranger to it.

Tuttle and Strings honor Doc Watson during his 100th birthday extravaganza by singing his classic “Blue Railroad Train.”

“Doc Watson’s 100th birthday…so exciting! Thanks for having me out here.”

Tuttle addresses the crowd as she gets settled on the stage.

Tuttle leads the vocals on the track while Strings supports her on his acoustic and in some backup vocals.

The track is short but nevertheless excellent, proof that they are indeed masters of the craft.
