Hailey Whitters Named ACM Awards New Female Artist Of The Year

From Corn Star to ACM Award winner.

Ahead of this Thursday’s ACM Awards, it was announced that Hailey Whitters has won the award for New Female Artist of the Year.

The award marks Hailey’s first ACM, and the only award she was nominated for this year. But it’s been a breakout year for the Iowa native off the strength of her debut album with Big Loud Records, Raised.

She scored her first charting hit with “Everything She Ain’t,” and Hailey’s had a massive year of on the road with her headlining Raised Tour in support of her new album. Oh, and next week Hailey will hit the road with Shania Twain, opening for the ’90s pop country icon on her Queen of Me Tour.

Her first ACM Award, a tour with Shania Twain…not a bad year for Hailey so far.

Hailey was nominated for New Female Artist of the Year alongside a hard-hitting group of women that included Priscilla Block, Megan Moroney, Caitlyn Smith and Morgan Wade. You really couldn’t have gone wrong with any of the nominees from that category, but Hailey more than deserves to take him the trophy for the year that she’s had.

But Hailey doesn’t get to just sit back and enjoy the show now that she’s already got her award: She’ll also be performing at the ACM Awards ceremony on Thursday night.

Doing pretty well for herself for a Corn Star from Iowa.
