Now THAT’s some damn country music.

CMA Fest has been full of surprises so far, from Luke Combs being joined by Vince Gill for a performance of “One More Last Chance” to Miranda Lambert throwing a major curveball at the Nissan Stadium crowd by bringing out Avril Lavigne for duets of “Kerosene” and Avril’s hit “Sk8er Boi.”

But I’ve gotta admit, this may be my favorite surprise of the festival so far.

During Friday night’s performance at Nissan Stadium, Reba joined Cody Johnson for an incredible duet of Reba’s #1 hit from 1986, “Whoever’s In New England.”

The performance wasn’t a total surprise for the excited crowd. CoJo and Reba have collaborated in the past, including for a duet of Cody’s song “Dear Rodeo.” And Cody also recorded his own incredible version of “Whoever’s In New England” back in 2020.

Then when it was announced that Reba would be CMA Fest’s featured artist of the day on Friday, many expected her to show up to duet with Cody during his set on the main stage at Nissan Stadium.

And man did they deliver.

We’ve been saying it for years, but…
