3 shot, 2 fatally in Valley Glen

California

A shooting in Valley Glen on Monday evening, June 19, left two males dead and a third injured, authorities said.

The LAPD responded to a call for a shooting in a parking lot near the intersection of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Victory Boulevard at around 10:05 p.m.

Officers arrived and found that three males had been shot. One was pronounced dead at the scene, another died at a hospital and a third was in surgery, LAPD Van Nuys Division Patrol Capt. Brian O’Connor said at the scene early Tuesday.

He said the three males were at a smoke shop when a dispute erupted. At least two of them produced guns and exchanged shots.

There were believed to be no outstanding suspects, O’Connor said.

Details on the dispute and identifying information for the victims was not immediately available. The man who died at the scene was in his 50s or 60s, ages for the others were not immediately available.

Freelance news video footage showed two cars that had collided near the scene of the shooting, but it was unclear if the incidents were related.
