Muscadine Bloodline Teases New Music Coming Right “Around The Corner”

Music

Muscadine Bloodline has been nothing short of prolific over the past couple of years.

The Mobile, Alabama duo of Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster released their first single in 2016, and released several EPs and dozens of singles over the next years, but it wasn’t until their 2020 debut record Burn It At Both Ends that they really seemed to be finding their sound.

Their prolificity really began to show, though, once they released their sophomore album and middle finger to corporate Nashville with Dispatch To 16th Ave. in 2022 and then released four more singles for the next project by year’s end.

After a lengthy process of building anticipation, the boys released their best record yet with the 16-track Teenage Dixie, an incredible project that features top tier storytelling and is undoubtedly one of the best of the year thus far.

Shortly thereafter, the band teased several popular pop-punk covers on Instagram before releasing the four track follow up to Teenage Dixie with their Teenage Angst EP just a few months later, featuring covers of Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, Mayday Parade, and Yellowcard.

And as if 20 songs wasn’t enough for 2023, they got right back to teasing new music on social media immediately following Teenage Angst.

New Music On The Way

The latest of these new tunes they’ve been teasing is titled “Low Hanging Fruit” and much like their tune “Me On You,” one of their biggest hits to date off of Teenage Dixie, this one sounds like it could be a fast paced, 90’s-esque honky-tonker.  And I think we need it released ASAP.

Muscadine Bloodline never really stops sharing clips of new music on Instagram, despite the prolific rate at which they have been releasing official music to streaming services.

While there aren’t too many details out there on the next project, they confirmed earlier this summer that they’d be in the studio recording after the 4th of July, so official new music could be on the way here soon.

In the meantime, check out a few more of my favorite unreleased songs Muscadine Bloodline has teased since Teenage Dixie.

“Angel Down Argile Smith Rd.”

“Some Good in This World”

“Two Tattered Tulips”

“Weyerhaeuser Land”

“Deer in the Headlights”

With music like they’ve been putting out lately, things are really coming together for Muscadine Bloodline. One of the most popular independent bands of the last five years or so, these guys seem to just now be hitting their stride of late, and it’s showing both in the streaming numbers as well as the sold out shows and massive opening gigs.

If they’re coming to a city near you soon, I suggest you go see a Muscadine Bloodline show. These guys are as real as it gets.
