Some of the best up-and-coming artists of today paying tribute to the best music of the ’90s.
’90s country superstar and hit songwriter Rhett Akins will be hosting a special show tonight live at Ole Red, the downtown Nashville bar owned by Blake Shelton in partnership with Opry Entertainment Group. And while it will feature some of the best rising artists in country music right now, this one’s all about the ’90s.
Ole Red On The Rise: ’90s Country Night will feature performances not only from the “That Ain’t My Truck” singer, but also names like Mae Estes, Wyatt McCubbin, Jenna Paulette and Will Jones. (Drake Milligan was originally supposed to perform, but unfortunately he’s under the weather and won’t be able to make it).
The show will feature these artists (who all have a ’90s-infused sound themselves) performing their own songs along with their favorite ’90s country hits, and of course the hilarious Rhett Akins will be hosting the whole thing.
The show begins at 7:30 PM central at Ole Red on Broadway, but if you’re not in Nashville and can’t make it out, we’re going to be hosting a livestream watch party right here on our Whiskey Riff YouTube channel.
It’s going to be a great show with lots of your ’90s country favorites, so make sure you tune in to check it out:
