Firefighters battle Chatsworth brush fire from the air

CHATSWORTH — Firefighters stopped the progress of a slow moving, approximately one-acre brush fire Sunday in Chatsworth, authorities said.

Firefighters were dispatched at 10:52 a.m. to 22400 block of Lassen Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Firefighters stopped the progress of the blaze at 11:37 a.m.

No structures were threatened, but there were downed wires in the area, the fire department said. Southern California Edison and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power were notified, according to the LAFD’s Margaret Stewart.
