Ex-Rep. George Santos Goes Out With Social Media Guns Blazing, Vows To File Complaints Against Others

Late Friday night and early on Saturday morning, expelled Rep. George Santos took to X to question the ethics of several former House of Representatives colleagues.

Santos was ousted Friday for alleged ethics violations, including donor funds spent on racy subscription website OnlyFans and Botox treatments. Santos’ expulsion from the House is immediate and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul will have to declare the seat vacant and call for a special election. He is the sixth House member to be expelled and the first Republican.

Santos said on social that he will make ethics complaints against Republican representatives Nicole Malliotakis for alleged questionable stock trading and Mike Lawler for campaign finance violations.

He also raised an online question about Democratic Representative Rob Menendez, alleging there needs to be investigations into his ties to father and Senator Bob Menendez, under investigation himself by the Dept. of Justice.

“While congressman Menedez has not been invoked by the diligent investigation of the DOJ into his father, there remains a question of what did he know and when did he know it,” wrote Santos.

The accused representatives have not commented so far on Santos’ allegations.
