Koe Wetzel Is Reportedly Opening A Riot Room Bar In Nashville

The third location of Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room has been scouted.

While the bar has not yet officially announced that it is expanding to Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee, The Nashville Business Journal reported that Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room will occupy the former Dogwood location in Midtown.

Dogwood closed its doors on May 1st for good after first opening them in 2019. Upon the closing of Dogwood, the partners of Riot Room (Emil Bragdon, president and CEO of Texas-based Funky Lime Hospitality, and Fort Worth hospitality veteran Fred Barnett) purchased the property.

Details about the bar have yet to be disclosed, but it will surely follow the Fort Worth and soon-to-be-opened Houston locations.

“It’s about who Koe is and what he represents. He has a carefree party attitude, that whole persona, which is so infectious.

He’s a true Texas guy, a good old country boy who’s hospitable and likes to have fun — that’s what the place is about.”

Bragdon noted in an interview with CultureMap Houston.

Wetzel is veering away from the hustle and bustle of artists flooding Broadway by opting for the Midtown location. While he is not the first artist to veer away from the busy bar scene downtown, he is entering a less saturated market.

If the expansion rings true, Koe will be opening bars in all the cities he likes to party in. While everyone loves Riot Room, Koe is creating a clubbing experience for himself on top of it. Elite move.
