Zach Bryan knows how to make a Great American Bar Scene, in all senses of the phrase.
Nothing gets a bar going in America like FREE SHOTS, and the country star delivered just that to honor the upcoming release of highly anticipated project The Great American Bar Scene. The album’s release is set for July 4th, so country fans will be able to celebrate America’s independence while cranking some new tunes from Bryan.
Sounds like a blast, no fireworks puns intended.
Zach took to Instagram to announce the release date, update fans on the cover art, and share some very exciting and unique news. That news is that 23 American bars across the country would get early access to the album:
“My intent with all this is to give everyone an early glimpse of this album, but more importantly, this is in the spirit of bringing people together for a memorable moment.
I have chose 23 bars across the country that embody the spirit of American culture. These bars will play select cuts from ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ starting June 24th.
As much as I’d kill to play all these timeless bars, it won’t be possible. I will be visiting a few off the list to have a drink with ya’ll. ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ will be released on July 4th. With love from the road, ZB.”
Not going to lie… that’s a really cool idea.
And it appears that in at least one of those bars that was hand-selected by Bryan, the country star covered the tab for a bar’s worth of Fireball shots. Judging by this viral TikTok below, this particular “Great American Bar,” the Shannon Tavern, is located in the Boston Massachusetts area.
And before you freak out, no… Zach wasn’t there himself.

Honestly, the place looks like a phenomenal dive bar, and I’m sure this isn’t the only one Zach and/or Warner Records picked up a tab for. Either way, Zach Bryan certainly knows how to please his fans.
