If you go to a Miranda Lambert concert, you best be ready to lock in on the performance the entire time.
The 40-year-old country star has never been shy calling out fans at her shows. Lambert infamously did so last year, when she got onto a group of women for taking selfies right in the middle of the show. The internet was divided on whether or not she was in the right doing so, but then again it is her show and Miranda calls the shots.
This time around, Lambert was performing as a headliner at the Under the Big Sky Music Festival in Whitefish, Montana. She was performing along with other notable artists such as Billy Strings, Turnpike Troubadours, Tanya Tucker and Charles Wesley Godwin, to name a few.
There’ a chance that the festival goers were there to see some of the other artists, but Miranda Lambert made sure to let them know that if they were out in the crowd, they should be paying attention to her set.
She stopped her show to say this to the Under the Big Sky audience:
“When it’s white and it’s dark up here – I can see your head is not turned the right way which is this way. So, if you came to visit, do it somewhere else. If you came to sing some country music and drink some beer and raise some hell then we’re doing that tonight. Are we clear? Are we done with our drama yet?”
That question may or not have inspired some people out in the crowd to get into a fight, and Miranda had something to say about that as well (even though she turned it into a good reason to drink):
“Fighting is not okay. And it’s always the girls. We get crazy! Cheers everybody. I’m gonna wait it out. Mine’s empty. This looks like a good time for a drink y’all.”
