Dolly Parton Shares “We Are The Champions” Music Video To Support 2024 Paris Olympic Athletes

Music

The 2024 Paris Olympics are officially here.

For the next couple of weeks, the world’s greatest athletes will all compete against one another with bronze, silver, and gold medals on the line. Though the competition will be fierce, the games themselves will be a symbol of world unity. And what says “bring the world together” better than Dolly Parton?

She’s America’s sweetheart, and at 78-years-old, she’s showing no signs of slowing down (you can reference last year’s Dallas Cowboys halftime show if you don’t believe me). The living legend of country music took a moment earlier today to channel her Olympic spirit, and posted a special music video for the 2024 games.

Dolly opted to use one her more recent recordings from her latest project Rockstar, and synced up a Paris Olympics themed video with her fiery mashup cover of Queen’s “We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You.” Parton tied it altogether by wearing three different colored dresses during the video – bronze, silver and gold. Someone should have told her that this is America… only one dress is needed since we only win gold (if you ain’t first, you’re last).

Dolly took a clip from her already Paris Olympics branded music video and shared this message directed towards all of the competitors and athletes in France:

Feeling in the Olympic spirit! Can’t wait to cheer everyone on, you are all champions!”

If you weren’t already fired up for the Olympics, I bet you are now.

Now you can sit back, relax and say, “I bet I could have done that” while watching obscure Olympic sports. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do so (especially while drinking beer). It’s only American to watch something from your couch and think you could do it too – if you had a couple of months to dedicate to it.

And if you do get into the training part, you can fire this song up as a source of inspiration:
