Former President Donald Trump was doing a little campaign side-quest in Music City this weekend, speaking at a Bitcoin conference at Nashville’s Music City Center.
While speaking at the conference, and hoping to earn some votes from the crypto community, Donald Trump took a moment to address some of the famous faces in the crowd, including country music’s own Billy Ray Cyrus.
Billy Ray has recently made all kind of headlines for issues related to recent divorce from fellow singer Firerose, as well as for negative comments he made about his daughter, pop megastar Miley Cyrus, but he also garnered praise for performing at the funeral of Corey Comperatore.
Donald thanked him for performing at the funeral of the retired firefighter, who was tragically killed in Butler, Pennsylvania, after a would-be assassin made an attempt on Donald Trump’s life while he was speaking at a rally. The former president received a graze wound to his ear, however Corey lost his life, and two other were severely injured.
And while talking to Billy Ray in the crowd, Trump took the opportunity to throw a little shade at Miley:
“Billy Ray Cyrus is here, where is Billy Ray… he’s around here someplace.
He’s a conservative guy. I said, ‘How did you get such a liberal daughter?’ How did that happen, Billy Ray?’”

It’s no secret that the Cyrus family, excluding Billy Ray, aren’t exactly fans of Donald Trump. It’s also no secret that Miley is pretty far left on the political spectrum.
Miley was heavily critical of Donald Trump during the 2016 election, and even posted a cringy video of herself crying after he won saying she still thinks Hillary Clinton deserved to be the first female president.
Billy Ray’s other daughter, Noah, recently responded to a Trump speech with “I’m terrified.”

He went on to praise Kid Rock for his performance at the Republican National Convention earlier this month in Milwaukee.
Billy Ray Cyrus Rips Daughter Miley In Leaked Audio
Billy Ray Cyrus is currently locked in a contentious – and highly public – divorce from his now-estranged wife, Australian singer Firerose.
The couple were married back in October, with the 62-year old Cyrus announcing his marriage to the 36-year old Firerose on Instagram after a surprise wedding ceremony.
It didn’t last long though, with the couple’s official date of separation listed as May 22, 2024, and Cyrus gave his soon-to-be ex-wife a deadline of May 24th to leave their home while giving her a $500-a-night stipend over ten days for temporary housing.
The country music singer cited “inappropriate marital conduct” and “irreconcilable differences” in his divorce filing, but Firerose claims that Billy Ray filed for divorce the day before she was scheduled to undergo a preventative double mastectomy after discovering that she carried the gene that causes breast cancer.
Since then, there have been plenty of allegations of abuse flying around, with both Billy Ray and Firerose claiming that the other was abusive to them, and Billy Ray presenting notes from Firerose allegedly written after their separating asking to work things out.
But Billy Ray also alleged that Firerose went on a nearly $100,000 spending spree after he filed for divorce. (Although apparently $50,000 was a mistake because her law firm accidentally charged her $50,000 when they meant to charge $5,000).
Regardless, it hasn’t been pretty – and the couple have seemed more than willing to air their dirty laundry for all to see.
Firerose has made serious allegations that Billy Ray was verbally and emotionally abusive, and now the Daily Mail has obtained audio that apparently shows the singer berating and cursing at his wife.
In the recording, Billy Ray is apparently upset that Firerose somehow made him late for a performance:
“It’s 9:15 you idiot. I needed to leave two hours ago. Get the f*** out of here. I’m not in no place to go do a show…
If you would have just shut the f*** up. If you would have just left it the f*** alone…Now I’m really f***ing pissed. You once again showed me you will not listen. I don’t know who the f*** you think you are, but you will not listen.”
Billy Ray can also be heard referencing Firerose being diagnosed with the BRCA gene, the genetic variant that puts her at a higher risk for breast cancer:
“And this ain’t about your BRCA. This ain’t about your surgery. This ain’t about nothing. This is about you being a f***ing selfish b*tch.”
He then continued berating her. When Firerose said that she just wanted him to be happy, Billy Ray responded:
“No, f*** you. F*** you.”
But it seems that his anger wasn’t just reserved for his then-wife. In what appears to be a separate clip, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer can be heard apparently bashing his daughter, pop singer Miley Cyrus, while talking about his children:
“Everyone knows the devil’s a skank.”
Not a great look.
