Gary LeVox ready to break the bedazzled jeans back out?

Rascal Flatts had their farewell tour canceled back in 2020 because of COVID, after announcing at the beginning of the year that they would be going their separate ways.

Well concerts finally started coming back the next year, but ultimately the farewell tour was canceled after LeVox said in an interview with People that guitarist Joe Don Rooney had “quit the band.”

Rooney was also arrested for DUI in 2021 after crashing into a tree and blaming it on a deer, and ended up pleading guilty to the charge in 2022. But earlier this year, Rooney revealed that he’s been sober since he went through rehab, as well as going through a divorce with his then-wife, Tiffany Fallon.

Meanwhile, LeVox and bass guitarist Jay DeMarcus have both been pursuing their own new ventures, with LeVox pursuing a solo career while DeMarcus has formed a band called Generation Radio alongside former vocalist for Chicago, Jason Scheff, as well as former Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers drummer Steve Ferrone.

Last year, DeMarcus discussed the possibility of a Rascal Flatts reunion, and all but dismissed the idea of the original band reuniting any time soon:

“I would want to say never say never. But we’re in such different places right now and don’t really communicate on a consistent basis. There are just so many steps that would have to take place in order for us to get back to even talking about it.”

But apparently, there are some Rascal Flatts fans out there who for some reason are still holding on to hope that a comeback tour could still happen. And after a recent post on the band’s social media, those folks got their hopes up that it’s finally happening.

The band posted a picture with the caption:

“We’re feeling nostalgic..Share your favorite Rascal Flatts tour memories and tag us so we can see them”

Well that was enough to make the folks in the comments think a new tour is on the way:

“FLATTS REUNION 2025?!?!?!?!”

“What are yall trying to hint at?”

“Hope this means we’ll see you soon”

“My favorite will be the one I see in 2025!”

“probably the one that’s happening in 2025…that would be a fav memory….”

“GUYS YOU’RE GONNA MAKE ME FREAK OUT”

“Is this a hint?? A tour?! Please”

“New tour???”

Gotta be honest, I didn’t realize there were this many people clamoring for a Rascal Flatts reunion. Most of the time I forget they even existed, although I’ll admit they had a few great songs over the years. (“Mayberry” and “Fast Cars and Freedom” were my jams back in high school, not even ashamed to admit it).

I guess it remains to be seen whether they have something in the works, but one thing’s for sure: If they do, there are going to be a ton of middle aged moms ready to see Gary LeVox in those bedazzled jeans once again.
